Soldier-Moment in Time

WALT: Use adjectives (describing words) to make our writing interesting to the reader.
We pretended we were a soldier in the war, using our senses to describe what it was like.

I saw...dead bodies.
I heard...guns shooting at soldiers.
I felt...terrified.
I wondered...if I would get shot.

  1. To Harlem,
I bet lots of soldiers wondered if they would get shot it would have been so scary wondering that everyday. Remember we were trying to add adjectives to our writing. Why would you have felt terrified? What did the guns shooting sound like? Were they loud?

  2. To Harlem,
I like your last sentence because it made me think if you would get shot.
